Underwater Photography Workshop
— Learn to take amazing diving pictures!
WHAT
Our workshop is a great way to improve your underwater photography skills within three days! You will learn about several different techniques of underwater photography. By the end of the workshop you will get rid of the “auto” mode and will be able to control your camera with full “manual” settings.
Core topics will be: Understanding exposure, Equipment handling, post processing and of course the composition of you pictures.
WHERE
Our workshop will be held on terrific dive sites around the Komodo National Park!
During your workshop you will be diving at several different dive sites around Labuan Bajo which is one of Komodo’s best diving locations for photography. The Komodo National Park” has masses of marine life to photograph, especially if you are interested in wide angle and reef photography. We also conduct courses for macro photography and spotting rare creatures.
WHEN
We offer workshops for two or more people (max.5). Please let us know at least two weeks in advance, so we can start to plan and prepare the course.
In our customized underwater photography workshop you will learn about essential techniques of underwater photography to get the most out of your equipment.

Our workshop is held in the “Komodo National Park”.
We offer workshops for two to five people. Please let us know at least two weeks in advance so we can plan your perfect adventure.
COURSE DETAILS
Our workshop is divided in 3 Modules.
Basic photography skills, Understanding what makes a good picture, basic composition advices; Guidelines for safe and eco-friendly diving (buoyancy!); Equipment handling, Schedule for the workshop
Dives:
1x preparation dive (Camera handling, Buoyancy techniques, weight trimming)
1x try out dive to get used to the equipment
Basic post processing on the computer (Photoshop Lightroom 5); Understanding exposure (Aperture, Shutter speed, ISO) and how to use their features under water; Strobe handling and positioning; Advanced lighting techniques and composition. Critter ID and their habitats; As a photograph will only be as good as his spotter, you will learn how to find and identify rare reef creatures; shooting in Semi-manual mode
Dives:
1x shooting macro with the internal strobe
1x shooting macro with an external strobe
1x night dive (critter ID)
Dives:
2x dives shooting critters in full manual mode
Post processing; portfolio
